(en)mascarate – Mask & Headpiece Workshop 2025 @Deseo Cooperative

This four-session workshop (Nov 26–Dec 18, 2025) is held at Deseo Cooperative, a non-profit LGTBIQ+ space dedicated to trans cultural inclusion. Before this new edition, Rica taught introductory latex workshops there, where participants experimented with small latex pieces as a first approach to the material—exploring its textures, creating simple plastiline molds, and crafting a small prosthetic of their choice, with no prior experience required and all materials included.

In (en)mascarate, participants create a complete mask, headpiece, or SFX prosthetic using accessible and recycled materials. We explore mask history and references across art, fashion, and performance, then move from design and molding to construction and finishing. The final session includes assembling a full look and a photoshoot. All materials are included, and participants may bring items they want to repurpose.
